Hoppe Development is proud to open Foxtail 26, a new affordable rental community within the Foxtail Meadows Neighborhood. The development provides 26 high-quality rental homes for working families and refugee households.

The City of Lincoln has set an ambitious goal of 5,000 new, rehabilitated, or subsidized affordable and attainable housing units by 2030, but demand for quality rental housing continues to outpace supply. The need is especially true for refugee and immigrant families resettling in Lincoln, who often face income, credit-history, and language barriers to securing safe, stable, and affordable homes.

To address this need, Hoppe Development partnered with the Good Neighbor Community Center and the Nebraska Department of Economic Development (DED) to bring the vision of Foxtail 26 to life. The project received support from the Pandemic Relief Housing (PRH) Program, funded through the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA).

Foxtail 26 delivers 26 new rental homes, including six units dedicated to refugee families. A 20-year affordability covenant, recorded with Lancaster County, helps preserve the PRH-assisted homes for refugee and immigrant households or households at or below 185% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines.

All units are thoughtfully integrated into Foxtail Meadows, a larger mixed-income neighborhood, where residents share access to parks, playgrounds, and green space. Future phases of the neighborhood are planned to include senior housing, commercial space, and shared amenities including a neighborhood pool.

Project partners include PrimeSites Real Estate, Hoppe Homes, Good Neighbor Community Center, Nebraska Department of Economic Development, Pinnacle Bank, City of Lincoln, DeOld Andersen Architecture, and Clark & Enersen.
